Since I started the blog just two weeks ago, I figured it would be useful to share some basic information about hearing loss.
About 36 million people have hearing loss, and approximately 30% of those people wear hearing instruments. Signs and symptoms of hearing loss include difficulty in noisy places, hearing from a distance, asking people to repeat, saying people “mumble”, and having difficulty following conversations. Many people experience ringing or buzzing in their ears or head, which may or may not be a sign of hearing loss but should be evaluated.
